Hello from the beautiful Outer Banks, North Carolina!
Matt and I are here enjoying a beachy vacation with our families. We arrived on Saturday afternoon and have been getting our fill of sun and sand ever since!
Below with Matt and his brothers Chris and Drew, plus my sister in law Jess and Drew’s girlfriend Morgana:
Matt’s parents have made not one but two epic feasts for us so far. On Saturday night, we enjoyed clams with pasta!
Plus some salad to get in a little green.
For dessert, Chris and Jess had a special treat for all of us – cupcakes! Jess is pregnant (so exciting!) and they just found out the gender; the cupcakes had a colored center to reveal the gender. We all counted down and then took a BIG bite at the same time!
It’s a boy!! I guessed right. 
Last night, dinner was some awesome kabobs on the grill.
They were AMAZING.
Time to get back out there and enjoy our vacation! We’re here for the week and will return to DC on Saturday. I’ll be popping in with a guest post on Wednesday and will try to share another beach update later in the week, but in the meantime, you can see what I’m up to on Instagram.
